Arya Vaidya Sala Kottakkal is a 114 years old Charitable Institute dedicated to the age old holistic healing science of Ayurveda. Founded in the year 1902 by the visionary and philanthropist, Vaidyaratnam P.S. Varier, AVS runs Ayurveda Hospitals in Kottakkal, Delhi, Kochi, Aluva and now Baddi. Since its outset more than a century ago, AVS is now a mighty, magnificent institution, successfully running operations in various fields. It manufactures its own medicines in the three modern medicine manufacturing units, equipped with 'state of the art' quality control labs, producing more than 550 classical formulations. AVS is also involved in research, and publication of medical journals and books, vast herbal plantations, and organizing educational programmes. Owing to his interest in arts, Vaidyaratnam P.S. Varier also founded a Kathakali academy which still stages Kathakali performances in India and abroad.
A lush green property, about 45 kms away from Chandigarh, is AVS’s
latest milestone. Themed around the holy city of Vrindavan, it is
designed lavishly on the lines of a resort, amidst lush green forest,
playful landscaped terraces, the chirping of birds and occasional
peacocks. It is however a Hospital where therapy and treatment are
disease specific as prescribed by our Ayurveda doctors. The hospital is
built tastefully with lots of amenities to make the guests feel at home and
AVS Baddi offers treatment for diseases like Diabetes, Arthritis, Parkinson's, Paralysis, Spondylitis, Hypertension and many more. Along with this, we also offer a large number of healthcare services like Rejuvenation programs and weight loss programs.
The center also has a herbal garden, a cow farm, yoga and meditation facilities, three temples and an organic farming site.
